Expert Home Remodeling in Boston, MA

Home remodeling in Greater Boston means working with some of the oldest residential housing stock in the country. Many homes across Boston, Newton, Wellesley, Wayland, and Weston were built in the early 1900s or earlier. That age brings character, but it also brings challenges: outdated framing, aging systems, and layouts that no longer fit how families live today. K&B Contracting INC works through those challenges room by room and floor by floor. We handle whole-home remodels, structural layout changes, additions, basement conversions, and exterior updates. Every project starts with a clear look at what your home actually needs, not a one-size-fits-all plan. Our work comes entirely through word-of-mouth referrals. Homeowners across this area trust us because neighbors they know have already seen our results firsthand. If your home needs a serious remodel and you want a contractor with a proven track record in this market, call us to talk through your project.

FAQ

Home Remodeling FAQ

Common questions about home remodeling in Boston, MA.

Does K&B Contracting handle full home remodels in Newton, not just single rooms?

Yes, we handle full home remodels across Newton and the surrounding area. We work through structural changes, layout reconfigurations, and system updates from one end of a home to the other.

My Wellesley home is older and I'm worried about hidden problems. How do you handle that?

We assess your home's actual condition before scoping any work. Older Wellesley homes often have aging framing, outdated wiring, or undersized systems, and we plan for those realities upfront.

How do I know K&B Contracting is the right fit for my Boston remodeling project?

K&B Contracting has built its entire business on word-of-mouth referrals from Boston-area homeowners since 2008. You can ask your neighbors, not just read a website.

Can you remodel my home in Wayland or Weston, or do you only serve Boston?

We serve Wayland and Weston directly, along with Boston, Newton, and Wellesley. All five areas are part of our regular service territory.

What types of home remodeling work does K&B Contracting cover?

We cover whole-home remodels, structural layout changes, additions, basement conversions, and exterior updates. We do not handle large-scale new construction, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, interior demolition, or site preparation on this service page, as those have dedicated pages.

Why do so many homeowners in the Boston area choose K&B Contracting without seeing an ad?

K&B Contracting has never advertised and relies entirely on referrals from satisfied homeowners. That track record reflects the kind of work that makes people confident recommending us to people they know.

I was referred by a friend to K&B contracting and I’m so happy I was! From the beginning Kevin was extremely helpful and guided me through the process of an addition to my home. Him and his team did an amazing job and I will be a return customer come new needs for my home!

After interacting with numerous contractors to achieve my specific project. Kevin from K & B came thru like a blessing. He is proficient in framing, structural , energy and sound proofing. The finish looked like it was out of a magazine. Meet with him and you’ll immediately know. He’s the right guy / company for your project ! The best

Contracted K&B as our general contractor to renovate our home. I strongly recommend this company. Reaching them was easy, professional from the initial pricing, through to final completion. Even with the many surprises that were encountered, the work they delivered exceeded our expectations. Excellent workmanship, site was cleaned daily and they provided a clear daily schedule.

After extensive research, I came across K&B contracting. They went above and beyond to make sure my project was on schedule and even saved me money on some materials with their suggestions. Would definitely recommend!

We worked with Kevin to rebuild our townhouse after fire damage, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. He is hardworking, responsive, efficient and very easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. He kept things on track and made a difficult situation much easier for us. We are so grateful to have him. It was a great pleasure working with him, and we highly recommend him and his team.
